
Today we are interviewing Giselle Winkel. She’s a sailor.
When was the first time that you went sailing? Well, when I was six, my family and I were on holidays in Menorca, and there I went sailing for the first time. Now I’m 16 years old, so I have been sailing for ten years.

And how often do you practise? I practise three times a week at the Schwerin Yacht Club.
Who is the best sailor you’ve ever competed against? Johanna Müller. I was eleven years old and she was fourteen. She was more experienced than me.
What is the furthest distance you have ever travelled to a sailing competition? In 2004 I went to Mexico. It was great!
