
Hurricane Ike was the fifth hurricane and the ninetieth tropical storm of the hurricanes season in the Atlantic of the 2008. It started as a tropical disturbance off the coast of Africa near the end of August, and then tracked south of Cape Verde. On September 1st 2008, it became a tropical storm in the west of the Cape Verde islands.
In the morning 4th September, hurricane Ike was a four level hurricane, with winds until 230 kilometers per hour and with a pressure with 935 mbar. It caused 87 deaths.
